Scholarships
Each year the North Central Texas Chapter awards scholarships to a college bound North Central Texas public school students. There are two categories of scholarship awards.
Dr. Arnita Young Boswell Scholarship is awarded to a high school graduate in Collin or Denton County based on academic competition as outlined in the annual application
Betty Veasy Excellence in Nursing Education is awarded to a single parent, resident of Collin or Denton County based on academic competition as outlined in the annual application.

Dr. Arnita Boswell Educational Scholarship December: SAVE THE DATE National Hook-Up of Black Women, Inc. will host its 2nd Annual Scholarship Evening Gala on Saturday, December 17th from 7pm to 11pm at the Holiday Inn Richardson , Texas. The gala is the major fund-raiser for NHBW, Inc North Central Texas Chapter. This annual event will offer a wonderful evening of dining on fine food, entertainment, networking, fashion show, deejay, dancing to a live band and the chance to take home great gifts from the raffle drawings and silent auction. Please mark your calendar and plan to join us for this special evening. The donation to the Gala Evening are $60.00 per person. We encourage you to attend and invite your friends to enjoy the spectacular evening; at the same time help two deserving college students acquire the education they want and deserve.
